Vaccination in Malaysia, made clear

MyVac is an independent, free resource that explains vaccination in Malaysia in plain language — what's on the schedule, what vaccines cost, where to get them, and what you need for travel. No jargon, no sales pitch, just clear answers.

What MyVac is

MyVac is an independent vaccination information resource for Malaysia. We bring together, in one place and in plain language, the things people most often need to know about vaccines here: the national immunisation schedule, what vaccines cost, where to get them, the requirements for travel and Umrah, and how the tax relief works.

We're not a clinic, a hospital or a vaccine seller — we don't administer vaccines or sell anything. We're an information site, built to answer the practical questions that are otherwise scattered across government PDFs, hospital pages and forum threads. Think of us as a clear starting point, designed to point you to the right official source or the right clinic for your next step.

Free and open. Everything on MyVac is free to read, with no login, no paywall and no ads selling you vaccines. The site exists to make trustworthy vaccination information easy to find for everyone in Malaysia.

Why this site exists

Reliable vaccination information in Malaysia exists — but it's fragmented. The official schedule lives in a Ministry of Health document, prices are scattered across dozens of individual clinic pages, travel requirements sit on yet another government site, and a lot of what comes up first in a search is either out of date or written to sell you something.

That leaves ordinary questions surprisingly hard to answer: What does the HPV vaccine cost? When does my baby get which jab? What do I need for Umrah? Can I claim any of this on tax? MyVac was built to answer exactly these — accurately, in one place, and in language anyone can follow, in English, Malay and Chinese.

What we cover

The site is organised around the questions people actually ask:

Alongside these, we have detailed individual guides to the major vaccines — HPV, influenza, hepatitis, pneumococcal, MMR, typhoid, COVID-19 and rabies — each explaining what the vaccine does, who it's for, and what it costs in Malaysia.

How we research our content

Health information is only useful if it's accurate, so we take sourcing seriously:

  • We prioritise official sources. The immunisation schedule comes from the Ministry of Health (KKM) and state health departments; tax-relief details from LHDN; travel and yellow-fever requirements from official MOH guidance.
  • Prices come from named providers. Where we quote vaccine prices, we draw on publicly listed figures from named Malaysian clinics and hospitals, and we link to the source — rather than vague ranges from ad-driven aggregators.
  • We cite our sources. Key pages carry a "Sources & references" section so you can check the original and dig deeper yourself.
  • We're honest about what changes. Prices, schedules and rules shift over time. Where something genuinely changes — COVID-19 policy, Saudi entry requirements, the approved yellow-fever centres — we say so plainly and point you to confirm the current position with the official source.
Always verify the specifics: we work to keep MyVac accurate, but vaccine prices, programmes and official rules in Malaysia change. Treat the site as a clear guide and starting point, and confirm the details that matter — current prices, your child's schedule, travel requirements — directly with your clinic or the official source before acting.

Independence and how to read this site

MyVac is independent. We don't sell vaccines, we're not paid by any clinic or hospital to feature them, and when we name a provider it's as an example to illustrate real prices or services — not an endorsement, and never an exhaustive list. The named clinics and hospitals on the site are simply ones that publish useful information; their inclusion isn't a recommendation over others.

Most importantly, please read this site for what it is: general information, not medical advice. We can tell you how the system works and what things generally cost, but we can't know your medical history, and nothing here replaces a conversation with a doctor. For anything specific to you or your family — what you need, what's safe for you, what your child's schedule should be — speak to a qualified healthcare professional or your Klinik Kesihatan, and follow official KKM guidance.

Spotted something out of date?

Because prices and rules change, it's possible something on the site has drifted out of date since we last checked it. If you spot a figure, a schedule detail or a requirement that looks wrong, we'd genuinely welcome the heads-up so we can verify and correct it — keeping the site accurate is the whole point.

In the meantime, for anything where being current really matters — the exact price at a specific clinic, your child's next appointment, the latest travel requirements — the official source or the clinic itself is always the final word.

Medical disclaimer. MyVac provides general vaccination information for Malaysia for educational purposes only. It is not medical advice and does not replace professional diagnosis or treatment. Vaccine prices, immunisation schedules and official rules are set by healthcare providers and the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM) and change over time. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional or your Klinik Kesihatan about your situation, and confirm current details with an official source before acting.
